POLICE are trying to trace a man today in connection with the discovery of a cannabis factory in an Essex village.

POLICE are trying to trace a man today in connection with the discovery of a cannabis factory in an Essex village.

Officers believe Edward Mirza can help with their investigation into a drugs operation allegedly masterminded at a house in Sible Hedingham.

They were alerted by a gas company in March this year following reports that the property in Swan Street contained a number of cannabis plants and hydroponics equipment.

Investigating officer Pc Toby Daniel said: “We would like to identify the whereabouts of Edward Mirza who we believe can help with our investigation into ascertaining who is behind this factory.

“I would urge Edward, his friends or relatives to contact us as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information in connection with this cannabis factory is urged to contact investigating officers at Halsted police station on 0300 333 4444.
