Man arrested on suspicion of hare coursing at Lidgate near Newmarket

A man has been arrested following reports of suspected hare coursing in Lidgate near Newmarket.
Police were called at around 3.40pm on Sunday, September 23, to The Street after receiving a call from a member of the public.
When they attended the scene, police discovered a vehicle which then drove off.
A second police car caught up to it in Orchard Place, where the occupants drove off again before making off on foot.
Police officers, with help from a member of the public, managed to detain one of occupants but the others escaped despite attempts to find them.
A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, criminal damage and hare coursing.
He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning and was later released under investigation.
