A young boy received cuts and bruising to his face after being attacked by a dog tied up outside a Suffolk supermarket.
The victim was walking with his father near the Co-op in Elizabeth Avenue, Newmarket, at approximately 4pm on September 5 when he was attacked by a large dog with brown fur.
The boy had stretched his hand out before the dog jumped up and bit him, causing a minor injury to his lip and bruising to his nose.
The dog, which was tied-up unsupervised outside the supermarket, has been described as large, with brown fur and a long face. It is believed the dog was retrieved by a man who is described as white, middle aged, and with dark hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt with a logo on the front.
