Police are appealing for witnesses after a man suffered a double fracture to his jaw following an assault in Lowestoft.

The victim, a 21-year-old man, was walking from Broadview to the Wherry Hotel car park between 7pm and 8pm on Saturday, May 5, when her was approached by two men, one of whom punched him in the face.

A spokesman for Suffolk police, said: “It caused a double fracture of the jaw, causing him to lose consciousness.

“According to the victim he regained consciousness to see the two suspects ride away on pedal bikes up Bridge Road towards the train station.”

The victim sustained a cut lip and to his gums and was treated in hospital as a precaution, but has now been released.
