POLICE have cordoned off an alleyway running alongside a town centre supermarket following an allegation of sexual assault.
A woman is believed to have contacted Suffolk police this morning and said she was attacked in the area, off East Street, Sudbury, sometime last night.
A police spokesman said: “We have cordoned off an alleyway, off East Street and next to the Somerfields supermarket, after receiving an allegation from a female who claimed she was sexually assaulted. An investigation is underway but it is at the very early stages.”
