POLICE are appealing for information after a woman reported being sexually assaulted on a bench in a Suffolk town.
POLICE are appealing for information after a woman reported being sexually assaulted on a bench in a Suffolk town.
The 43-year-old, who was sat at the junction of Station Road and St Andrews Place in Melton, near Woodbridge, told police that a man walked up behind her and put his hands down her top at about 1am/1.30am this morning.
She pushed his hands away and the man made off towards Wilford Bridge. The woman contacted the police a short time later.
The man police need to trace is described as being white, tall, of medium build, with a shaved head and was wearing dark upper clothing and blue jeans.
Police would like to hear from anyone who was in this area between 12.30am and 2.30am, regardless of whether you saw anything.
