POLICE are appealing for help from the public after a pig was killed and dragged from a Suffolk field.

The female pig was stolen from a field in the Dunwich Forest area between 7pm on Thursday, October 11 and 8.30am the following morning.

Police believe the 80kg sow was killed and dragged from the field - possibly to a vehicle that was waiting on the Westleton Road.

Officers are asking anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward if they noticed any suspicious activity or vehicles.

Anyone with information about the theft, or who may have been responsible, is asked to call 101.
