Essex Police have been granted an order to ban a man from the centre of Clacton.
Darren Fogarty, 47, from Brightlingsea will not be allowed beg in a public place, ask people unknown to him for money or be sitting or be positioned in place where he will be perceived to be begging after receiving a criminal behaviour order (CBO). The order was made at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on February 2 after Fogarty pleaded guilty to breaching a community protection notice.
The CBO was applied for by Tendring Community Policing Team and will be in place for three years.
Fogarty was also fined £80 by the court and ordered to pay £30 in court costs.
Anyone who has information about a breach of the order can contact Tendring Community Policing Team on 101 or by visiting Essex Police’s website.
