Police are searching for a prisoner serving five years for burglary after he fled from a Suffolk jail.
Mark O'Hara, 35, was given temporary release from Hollesley Bay, near Woodbridge, to attend an appointment at the James Paget Hospital on Wednesday.
However he failed to return and was last seen around 12.45pm in McDonalds in Station Square, Lowestoft.
He is described as white, around 5ft9ins, of thin build, with short brown hair and blue eyes.
He has connections to the Tottenham area of London and police are asking anyone who sees him to contact them immediately.
