An 87-year-old German-speaking man reported missing from Ipswich earlier today has been found safe and well, police have confirmed.

Officers were called after Wilhelm Thiebes was last seen at his home in Malmesbury Close at around 12.30pm today, July 21.

Police issued an appeal for anyone who had seen him, but have this evening confirmed he was found safe and well.

Officers have thanked the public for their help.
