A district council has agreed to spend more than 75,000 on fitting new LED lights in its offices.
Mid Suffolk District Council’s executive committee voted unanimously in favour of the proposal yesterday.
The council will contribute almost 20,000 to the cost, with more than 55,000 coming from a loan.
The new lights, which require no ongoing maintenance, are expected to save the council 80,000 over the next 15 years.
