A POND lover was left distressed and angry after someone entered his property and poisoned a number of fish and frogs.
Officers were contacted shortly after 9.30am last Wednesday by the owner of a house on Stour View Avenue, Mistley, who reported that someone had poured a toxic chemical into his pond.
A police spokesman said: “Someone has maliciously entered this man's garden and deliberately poured something toxic into the water between 11pm Tuesday, June 16 and 9am Wednesday, June 17.
“It is callous, criminal and anti-social.”
The damage has been estimated at approximately �500.
