HUNDREDS of music fans queued in the bitter February chill tonight…waiting patiently to see pop super group JLS.

The band, who shot to fame on the X-Factor, are performing a sell-out gig at The Regent this evening.

Groups of teenagers wearing JLS jumpers and waving banners waited, brimming with excitement to get into the theatre and a step closer to their heroes.

Braving the cold they queued, chanting the names of their favourite band members and singing their hit songs.

Those lucky enough to have secured a ticket waited in line throughout the day - with many arriving at lunchtime in a bid to catch a glimpse of the band as they arrived.

By the early evening, the queue had snaked around the back of the Odeon and up Woodbridge Road.

Meanwhile, fans Emily Hall and Emma Hinds enjoyed a pre-gig treat when they bumped into the band on the Waterfront.

JLS had been eating lunch at the Salt House Harbour Hotel when they agreed to pose for a picture.
