A former postman will be sentenced next month after admitting delaying nearly 70,000 items of mail.

A former postman will be sentenced next month after admitting delaying nearly 70,000 items of mail.

Richard Appleby, 36, of Ipswich, Suffolk, failed to deliver the post in the Ipswich area over a four-year period.

Appleby, who appeared at Ipswich Crown Court, pleaded guilty to intentionally delaying about 62,000 postal packets and nearly 7,000 items of advertising mail.

He will be sentenced at the court on the week beginning June 1.
