Suffolk MP Dr Dan Poulter has been re-elected as chair of the all party parliamentary group on global health.

The group provides a platform to identify and debate global health issues and concerns within Parliament and with governments in the UK and beyond.

It was formed by Lord Nigel Crisp to focus on the underlying, cross-cutting health issues which affect us all, no matter where in the world we live.

The group offers recommendations and advice to Parliament on key policies impacting health in the UK and overseas, and aims to influence those Government policies which most affect population health from across all areas of Government activity.

Dr Poulter said: β€œIt is a great honour to have been re-elected as Co-Chair of the group alongside Lord Crisp. The APPG works hard to raise awareness of the physical and mental health challenges that we face here in the UK and overseas.”
