OVER 1000 households in Ipswich are currently without electricity after a high voltage fault cut off supplies, it has emerged.

OVER 1000 households in Ipswich are currently without electricity after a high voltage fault cut off supplies, it has emerged.

EDF Energy engineers are on their way to assess and correct the fault which cut off supplies to 1268 homes at about 8.20pm.

The affected area includes Tuddenham Avenue, Cemetery Road and Finchley Road.

A spokesman for EDF Energy said engineers were working to fix the problem and restore power to customers affected as soon as possible and apologised for any inconvenience caused.
