Bury St Edmunds and District Primary School Football League held their ‘Champions League’ final on Saturday at Howard Community Primary School.
Organiser, Derek Smith, said the play offs between the schools teams boasted some ‘very entertaining matches.’
He said: “After the group stage matches we had two well-fought finals. Sebert Wood beat All Saints Lawshall 6-0 in the year six round and although the score looks like it was a one sided match, but the game was very close in the first half and Lawshall had some good chances to score.”
“In the year four round, we saw St Edmunds beat Sebert Wood, 2-1. It was a very entertaining match full of good football with many good tackles and excellent passing moves.” The teams were presented with trophies and medals by Andy Dilks from British Sugar, the league sponsor and Daryl Jones the league president.
