The Princess Royal was in Newmarket earlier today to attend a dinner with Racing Welfare.
As president of the organisation she attended the event at the Jockey Club Rooms, in the High Street, and was ferried to the town via a helicopter which landed nearby.
Racing Welfare is a registered charity supporting the workforce of British horseracing and offers professional guidance and practical help to the stud, stable and support staff whose dedication is vital for the wellbeing of racing.
It works to help people, from recruitment to retirement, to thrive in day to day life and through a range of challenges specific to a career in racing and has its head office in Newmarket.
It supports current and retired racing staff and their families with their work dependent on donations and successful fundraising activities.
