A 43-year-old man has been jailed after being convicted of two burglaries and theft from a vehicle.

Dean Walker, formerly from Lowestoft and Telford but now of now fixed abode, has been sent to prison for 34 months after admitting the crimes.

Walker appeared at Ipswich Crown Court yesterday after pleading guilty to the three offences at a hearing in the same court on August 10.

He had been arrested on July 24 and was interviewed by detectives in connection with a break-in at a home in Pakefield on June 4 where alcohol and clothing items were stolen.

Crime scene investigators attended and DNA recovered at the address later came back as a positive match for Walker.

Walker was also questioned about a theft from a vehicle left in the car park at Pleasurewood Hills on May 25 where two iPhones, an iPad, purses, cash, bottles of wine and food items were stolen and a home burglary in Telford on June 9.

After his arrest Walker was remanded in custody ahead of sentencing and at the hearing yesterday he was jailed for two years and ten months.
