POLICE are hunting for a prisoner who absconded from a Suffolk jail.

POLICE are hunting for a prisoner who absconded from a Suffolk jail.

David Aves, 50, who was serving two years for deception, was granted temporary home leave on Monday, September 8, to stay with a relative living near Bury St Edmunds.

He was due back to Hollesley Bay at 3.30pm on Friday but did not return.

Aves is described as white, 6ft 4ins, with brown hair and blue eyes.

He has connections to the Bury St Edmunds area, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

Anyone who may have seen him, or who may have information about where he is now, should call Suffolk Police on 01473 613500 or contact their nearest police station.
