A plaque has been unveiled at a Suffolk library to thank those who helped fund a £15,000 renovation project.
The plaque outside Elmswell Library lists everyone who supported the project, which saw moveable shelving installed to create more space for community events, new furniture and improvements to other areas.
Students from West Suffolk College helped to decorate the library, which is also now ‘dementia friendly’.
Library manager Emma Yarrow said: “Elmswell Library Friends (ELF), with the support of generous fundraisers and organisations, managed to achieve something very special. We are turning our little library into a community hub.”
Jimmy Jewell, chairman of ELF, said: “Thanks are extended to all those who donated towards the appeal and to all who have helped in making the various fundraising events such a success.”
