A PROTEST is being held by inmates at Warren Hill prison at Hollesley, near Woodbridge.
The Ministry of Justice said officers were negotiating with a “small” group of young people this morning.
A spokeswoman said: “There is an ongoing incident at Warren Hill involving a small number of young people.
“It is being managed by staff. The incident is contained and staff are working towards a resolution.”
Suffolk police said they had not attended the incident.
Warren Hill, on the Hollesley Bay site, is a young offenders' institution. It has capacity for 222 inmates.
