A SCHOOLGIRL is to perform her impressive juggling skills in a circus show to raise money for her school.
Sproughton Primary School pupil Jodie Spence will be appearing in Circus Ricardo at the weekend dressed as a clown.
The 11-year-old first became interested in the circus when the company visited Suffolk in 2002.
Since then, Jodie has enrolled herself for professional tuition and has been practicing hard for her appearance in the big top on Sproughton Millennium green.
The circus' original big top was ruined by strong gales in Lowestoft earlier this month but luckily a replacement was found before last weekend's performance in Norfolk.
Circus Ricardo organises a fund-raising tour across East Anglia and shares profits with schools for additional sports equipment and books, as well as organising workshops.
The circus is being held on Sproughton Millennium Green on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and features Justo and Pemma the clowns, the flying Diablos, acrobatics, slack rope walking and special international guest stars.
Seats cost £5 and tickets are available from Sproughton Post Office in Church Lane or the Ipswich Corn Exchange box office on 01473 433100.
