A man suffered serious head injuries after the quad bike he was riding crashed into a parked car in Lowestoft.

Police are appealing for witnessed to the collision, which happened in Raglan Street, close to the junction of Camp Road, at around 7.50pm on Wednesday, July 4.

According to a spokesman for Suffolk police, a white 249cc Jingling quad bike was travelling south along Raglan Street when it struck a stationary Vauxhall Corsa.

The rider, a 26-year-old man from Lowestoft, was thrown from his vehicle and struck the Corsa, causing him serious head injuries.

The spokesman added that the man was taken by air ambulance to Addenbrooke’s hospital for treatment.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision and are keen to receive any dash-cam footage that may have been taken at the time of the crash
