MORE than 50 aircraft have flown over the skies of Suffolk as they mark the Queen's official birthday.
Thousands of people witnessed the spectacular sight, with the aircraft assembling in the skies over Southwold at 12.43pm and passing over Ipswich around five minutes later.
In total, 55 aircraft of 14 different types were involved, including Spitfires, Hurricanes, a Lancaster, and high-tech Typhoon fighters.
Their journey over Buckingham Palace coincided with the end of the traditional Trooping the Colour ceremony in Horseguards Parade, London.
For the first time since the 1990 flypast over London to mark the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, this year's flypast included a formation of 16 aircraft, consisting of Tornado GR4 strike aircraft from RAF Marham, Norfolk, of which the Queen is Honorary Air Commodore.
