FIREFIGHTERS are tackling a blaze which has engulfed a flat in Lowestoft today.
Two crews from Lowestoft and Lowestoft north fire stations arrived at the scene in Rant Score shortly after 9.40pm.
When they arrived and discovered the extent of the blaze the crews called for backup.
Another fire engine from Lowestoft and a specialist hydraulic platform from Great Yarmouth are helping to tackle the flames.
A spokesman for the fire service said the flat is “well alight.”
No-one was in the flat at the time.
The fire was under control by 10.30pm.
