RAIL passengers travelling from London Liverpool Street tonight experienced lengthy delays following a track side fire.
A lineside fire in the Brentwood area was reported at 7.30pm and caused delays of up to an hour for services between London Liverpool Street and Shenfield.
Trains travelling to stations along the route to Norwich were affected by the disruption.
A spokesman for National Express East Anglia said: “A lineside fire is causing disruption at Brentwood.
“Because of this, there are delays of up to 60 minutes between London Liverpool Street and Shenfield. These delays are expected to last until 9pm.”
