EARLY morning commuters today faced delays on mainline trains to and from London following a signalling problem at Liverpool Street.

Delays of up to 30 minutes affected journeys until around 8am this morning on trains travelling via Ipswich between Norwich and Liverpool Street.

The hold ups also affected rail passengers travelling between Liverpool Street and Cambridge.

National Express East Anglia put the disruption down to a signalling problem at London Liverpool Street station.

Shorter residual were expected to last into the morning.
