THE roof of a thatched cottage near Rattlesden has partially collapsed due to a fire.
More than eight appliances are currently working to extinguish the blaze which has engulfed the thatched roof and first floor of the property in Poystreet Green.
An ambulance has been requested for two casualties suffering from smoke inhalation, police for traffic control and UK Power Networks to isolate the power supply.
At 5.47pm all crews were withdrawn due to the partial collapse of the roof.
Firefighters are now working at height and using three hose reels, one jet and the multistar to fight the flames.
