Hundreds of pounds worth of equipment has been stolen from a van.

A Garmin sat-nav and a pair of Oakley sunglasses were seized from a silver Vauxhall Vivaro between 6pm on Wednesday and 9am on Thursday in Sanfoin Close, Red Lodge.

A power saw and a plunge saw were also taken.

The combined value of the stolen items totalled “several hundred pounds”, according to a Suffolk police spokesman.

“The silver Vauxhall Vivaro van had its driver’s side window smashed to gain entry to the cab,” the force spokesman explained.

“The offender then accessed the rear of the van and made off with a Makita MLS100 power saw and a Festool TS55 plunge saw.”

Witnesses or people with information relating to this incident are urged to call police on 101.
