Legendary reggae band UB40 will perform in Bury St Edmunds as part of the town’s festival in May, it has been announced.
The Birmingham-based group, who have enjoyed three UK number one hits, will play at Nowton Park with special guest support on Sunday, May 27.
The band is fronted by Duncan Campbell – brother of former lead singer Ali Campbell who left the band in 2008 – and he is joined by other Campbell brother Robin, James Brown, Earl Falconer, Norman Hassan and Brian Travers in the current line-up.
Jools Holland & His Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, Gilbert O’Sullivan and His Band, and Abba Mania have already been confirmed for the Nowton Days/Nights festival.
Gates open at 6pm, (car parking from 5pm) for a 7.30pm show.
Car park space can be booked in advance for a fee and concert goers can also pay to put up their own gazebo on a reserved site with a good view of the stage.
