Two men have appeared in court charged with producing cannabis after a bunker full of plants was found in Rendlesham.

Police carried out a warrant around 9am on Wednesday and discovered the rooms in the bunker, which is approximately 40ft by 80ft, to be full of cannabis plants in various states of cultivation.

Before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court today were Viet-Toan Tran, 38, and Xuan-Truong Tran, 37, both of no fixed abode.

They were both charged with producing the class B drug and remanded in custody to appear in court again on Tuesday, March 11.
