A SEARCH and rescue crew from Suffolk was called to help a boat in trouble off the coast of Essex today.
The crew based at Wattisham were called following a distress call from a 14ft boat, Yellow Submarine, which had three people on board and was sinking about two miles off the coast of Clacton.
Clacton Lifeboat, Thames Coastguard and two fishing vessels also attended the scene at about 8.30am. The lifeboat tied the boat alongside it and towed it to the shore.
Everyone made it back to land safely.
