A Fawlty Towers mood took over West Suffolk College on Wednesday night during a student performance of Georges Feydeau’s A Flea in her Ear.
The audience were treated to a madcap evening of revolving beds, slamming doors and students running about in their underpants, as well as an angry Toriador with a gun and a German who kept bursting in to demand the love of a ‘shoen fraulein’ - then going away again.
“It’s meant to be silly,” said Gary Willis, Director of Performance at the college’s Conservatoire East.
In that case, the night can be deemed a great success!
Guests were also treated to a delicious dinner prepared and served by the college’s talented catering students - a big shout out here goes to Dominic, who looked after us all so well.
