THE teenager who murdered schoolboy Rhys Jones has been attacked in jail, it emerged today.

THE teenager who murdered schoolboy Rhys Jones has been attacked in jail, it emerged today.

Sean Mercer is thought to have suffered a broken nose and facial injuries in the attack at HMP Moorland in Doncaster.

A spokesman said the incident was stopped by the timely intervention of staff.

Mercer, 18, of Good Shepherd Close in Croxteth, was jailed for life last month.
