Rider unharmed after collision with car

A TEENAGE moped rider escaped injury after he was involved in a collision with a car in Ipswich today.

A TEENAGE moped rider escaped injury after he was involved in a collision with a car in Ipswich today.

The accident took place in Martin Road, close to the junction with Station Street, shortly after 8.50am.

The crash involved a moped and an Audi A3.

The 19-year-old rider was initially thought to have suffered arm injuries but was found to be unharmed following an examination at the scene by paramedics.

The emergency services were alerted thanks to a call from a member of the public.

The road was not blocked.
