A SEA King from Wattisham Airfield searched for an hour last night to find a 20-foot motor boat which had become stranded on a sand bank.
The crew received the call that the boat was lost at 7.05pm on Wednesday September 19.
The helicopter was in the air for 60 minutes before locating the boat and its three-man crew just off the River Crouch in Essex.
The helicopter crew sent a man down on a winch to pick the men up but they wanted to continue their journey to Harwich after being moved to deeper water.
