One lane of the westbound carriageway was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident, which happened at about 8.10am today, but has now reopened.
One person was taken to Ipswich Hospital and another motorist was treated for shock at the scene.
The six vehicles in collision were a blue Audi A6, blue Nissan Qashqai, a green Ford Fusion, a white Citroen van, a blue Toyota Yaris and a red VW Polo.
