A WOMAN motorist had to be cut free from her vehicle today after a serious accident in Wherstead Road, Ipswich.
One of the busiest routes into the town was closed to traffic while fire crews freed the woman and an ambulance took her to hospital.
The accident caused additional delays for motorists already seeking alternative routes into the town following the closure of Woodbridge Road earlier this week because of subsidence.
