Officers were called by a member of the public this morning at around 11.20am to the incident, which involved a silver Vauxhall Astra, close to The Pound on Church Road.

The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST), Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service and East Anglian Air Ambulance attended the scene.

The male driver and female passenger were treated at the scene before being taken to West Suffolk Hospital by land ambulance.

An EEAST spokeswoman said the pair were being treated for minor to moderate injuries, and a Suffolk police spokeswoman said the road reopened at 2.45pm.
