Roadworks for the coming week will bring full and partial closures to major roads in Suffolk and Essex including the A14, A12. A11 and A120. Here is the full list, announced by Highways England for November 13-19.

A14 Junction 40 to Junction 43 eastbound and westbound

Work to reconstruct and resurface the dual carriageway between junctions 40 and 43 started on 6 November. Full closures are required weeknights only between 8pm and 6am until 19 January. During the work, there will be a clearly signed diversion route will be in place via the A1304 towards the A11, and then onto A1101, back to the A14 junction 43. The westbound diversion route is the same but in reverse.

A14 Orwell to Junction 62

Work to resurface the concrete carriageway between Orwell and Levington; and the carriageway inlay between Levington and Junction 62 continues this week. The work is being carried out between 9pm and 6am each night (Monday to Friday). The work is being carried out in sections, requiring junction closures on the A14 between Orwell and Junction 62. Signed diversion routes will be in place for each of the junction closures.

A14 Suffolk: barrier repairs

Work to repair accident-damaged safety barriers will take place this week at various locations along short sections of the A14 through Suffolk. There will be single lane closures past the section being worked on from Monday to Friday overnight between 8.30pm and 6am.

A14 Eastbound Junction 27 Entry slip road for resurfacing

Work will be carried out on the eastbound A14 overnight on Wednesday 15 November to resurface the entry slip road. There will be a signed diversion route and 2 way temporary traffic lights on Cambridge road.

A14 westbound Kentford to Newmarket, Suffolk: carriageway repairs

Overnight maintenance work to restore sections of the westbound A14 between Kentford and Newmarket continues until 1 December. Working hours are 8pm to 6am on weekdays overnight only, weather permitting. Overnight this week, the westbound A14 will be closed at junction 42 Westley interchange with traffic directed to follow a signed diversion route via the B1106 towards Fornham All Saints, west on the A1101 towards Mildenhall and south on the A11 at Barton Mills Five Ways roundabout to re-join the A14 westbound at Junction 38 Waterhall interchange. This work will switch to single lane closures on 20 November for one week and return to full closures on 28 November, also affecting the southbound A11.

A14 junction 52 Claydon, Suffolk: slip road widening

Work to widen the westbound entry slip road for the A14 at junction 52 will continue to take place this week. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the next A14 junction.

A12 Stanway Junction 26: survey work

Overnight work to carry out condition surveys of the A12 junction 26 slip road for two nights from Wednesday 15 November, between 8pm and 6am. The northbound exit slip road at junction 26 will be closed on Wednesday 15 November for one night, followed by the southbound junction 26 entry slip road on Thursday 16 November. Work will take place between 8pm and 6am each night. A clearly signed diversion will be in place.

A120 Essex: barrier repairs

Work to repair accident-damaged safety barriers will take place this week at various locations along short sections of the A120 through Essex. There will be single lane closures past the section being worked on from Monday to Friday overnight between 8.30pm and 6am only.

A120 Hare Green roundabout, Harwich Road: safety improvements

Site investigations and vegetation clearance work will continue throughout the week. There will be traffic management on site but this will have no impact on any road users.

A11 Norfolk and Suffolk: vegetation clearance

Overnight work to improve journeys by clearing vegetation along the A11 verges continues this week between Newmarket and Norwich for up to seven weeks. Lane closures will be in place past the section being worked on northbound or southbound overnight, between 8pm and 6am.

A11 Thetford: bridge joint replacements

Work to replace bridge deck expansion joint on the A11 bridge over the little Ouse near Thetford will begin this week overnight between 8pm to 6am. A clearly signed diversion will be in place from the Norwich Road Roundabout towards Thetford, onto the A1066 at the next roundabout, returning to the A11 at the A134/A11 roundabout.

A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire: major improvements

Construction work on the new A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon scheme is well under way. Regular lane or carriageway closures are needed on the A1, A14 and some local roads, usually overnight between 8pm and 6am, unless otherwise stated. A clearly signed diversion route will always be in place for closures.

Monday 13 November to Thursday 16 November (four nights):

· A1 northbound between Brampton Hut and Alconbury; A signed diversion will be in place. Vehicles will be diverted east along the A14, then north on the A14 link road to re-join the A1.

Monday 13 November to Wednesday 15 November (three nights):

· A1 southbound between Alconbury and Brampton Hut. A signed diversion will be in place. Vehicles will be diverted west along the A14, then south on the A14 link road to re-join the A1.

· A14 eastbound between junction 26 and junction 31.

A signed diversion will be in place. Vehicles will be diverted south on the A1198, then west on the A428 to re-join the A14.

· A1307 inbound between A14 and Girton Road

A signed diversion will be in place via the A14 eastbound to junction 32, then south on the B1049 Histon Road to re-join the A1307.

Thursday 16 November to Friday 17 (two nights):

· A14 westbound between junction 31 and junction 27;

A signed diversion will be in place. Vehicles will be diverted west along the A428 and then north on the A1198 to re-join the A14.

· A1307 outbound from Castle Street Cambridge to A14.

A signed diversion will be in place. Vehicles will be diverted north on the A1049 Histon Road to junction 32 of the A14.

Friday 17 November (one night)

· A1 northbound between Buckden and Alconbury; A signed diversion will be in place. Vehicles will be diverted off the A1 at the A428, then north on the A1198, west on the A14 to the A14 link road to re-join the A1.

Friday 17 November to Monday 13 November (three nights):

· A1 northbound exit slip road at Brampton Hut (Friday 9pm to Monday 5am).

Advanced notice

Saturday 25 November (one night)

· A14 full carriage closure, both east and westbound, between J27 and J28 (9pm to 6am)
