Robins co-boss Gary Patchett said: “Steve is a talented young rider and his performance in January's New Year Classic at Newport clearly demonstrated his ability.
“After a couple of frustrating seasons he is approaching the 2010 campaign with a newfound confidence and clear of injury. Steve likes the Swindon circuit and also has good experience on lots of other Elite league tracks.
“We're confident he'll do a good job for the club when required during 2010.”
