RAUNCHY Roxanne Pallett and dashing Danny Simpson have elevated Ipswich Town's WAGs to celebrity status.

The Blues have signed 21-year-old Simpson on loan from Manchester United and he has recently started dating 25-year-old Emmerdale actress Miss Pallett.

The courting couple were caught on camera canoodling outside a club after Red Devil Simpson scored with the sultry soap star in Manchester earlier this month.

While Simpson has enjoyed loan spells at Sunderland and Royal Antwerp he only broke into the Manchester United team this season and has made eight first team appearances Miss Pallett is used to the limelight.

After completing a degree in media and cultural studies at Liverpool's John Moore University she was a founder member of the band Urban Angles.

She then landed the role of Jo Stiles in Emmerdale, who is married to the jailed Andy Sugden, and has been in the programme for more than two years.

Born and bred in Carlisle, where Town legend Kevin Beattie hails from, Miss Pallett appeared in the reality singing competition Soapstar Superstar.

So while Jim Magilton will be hoping Simpson does the business for Ipswich on the pitch it appears he has netted a real scorcher of his own already.

This latest romance is believed to be her first since the very public split from Coronation star Richard Fleeshman last year, which they blamed on work commitments and the long distance relationship.

Former Ipswich players have been known to be involved with celebrity girlfriends. Jason Cundy's actress wife Lizzie appeared in a James Bond film and Eastenders. Chris Makin used to date Myleene Klass, while Marcus Bent has a had a string of well-known conquests including David Beckham's sister Jo and more recently Ronaldo's ex Gemma Atkinson.

But if you see the paparazzi clicking away outside Pals in Ipswich, or Colchester's Robert's Club you will know why.
