Five pupils from the school have been offered places to study at Oxford and Cambridge universities.

Two pupils have been offered places at Cambridge: Flo Balmer to read Modern and Medieval Languages at Robinson College and Ben Barker to read Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic at Trinity College.

At Oxford Sam Christmas has been offered a place to read Classical Archaeology and Ancient History at Lincoln College, Ben Banks as an organ scholar reading Music at Oriel College and Sophia Schmidt to read Classics at St Anne’s College.

Higher Education Coordinator, David Barker, said: “It’s a very competitive application process so I am very pleased to see their hard work over a considerable amount of time pay off.

“These pupils will flourish at these institutions as they go on to read their chosen subjects and will no doubt enjoy the rich historical narrative and heritage of their colleges.”
