Runners bring a sea of colour to Nowton Park, Bury St Edmunds, for charity

Bury St Edmunds’ Nowton Park was a sea of colour at the weekend as 400 runners took part in a popular fundraiser for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).

The town’s third Colour Dash was held today with coloured corn flour thrown at willing participants who took on the 5k park route.

Around £5,000 was raised for EACH from the event and will go to supporting children and young people with life-threatening illnesses.

Natasha Brame, EACH community fundraiser, said: “It was great to once again bring a sea of colour to Bury.

“A big thank you to all the 400 people who took part and raised some £5,000. All the money will go towards the vital care and support EACH provides for children and young people with life-threatening conditions and their families.

“Our thanks also to everyone who volunteered, ensuring the event was a success. Our attentions now turn to our Glow Walks in Felixstowe and Stowmarket on October 28.
