SCORES of children heading to Suffolk schools were today being carried by different buses after the company that provides their transport ceased trading.
Country Travel, which is based in Saxmundham, told Suffolk County Council yesterday that it was being forced to stop operating immediately.
It carried about 200 children to and from schools in the Beccles, Leiston, and Halesworth areas.
Alternative arrangements were drawn up overnight and other bus companies were providing transport to and from schools this morning.
The bus companies running individual routes are:
IP179 - First Buses
LS001 - Coastal Area Transport Services (CATS)
LS003 - Whincops
LS006 - Carters Coaches
LS008 - PSC Travel
LS015 - Belle Coaches
WE917 - SCC Travel Services
