A PIANIST from Copleston High School in Ipswich will be performing a concert combining classical, jazz and blues music tomorrow night.
Jacob Baker, 18, from Rushmere St Andrew, is a student at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music, travelling to London every Saturday where he studies composition, classical piano, jazz piano and viola.
The concert, to be held at the Great Hall, Ipswich School, will feature several of Jacob's own compositions.
Whilst studying at the Guildhall, Jacob has had sponsorship, arranged by the Insurance Charities. The concert has been arranged in order to raise money for the charity, as a 'thank you' for their assistance.
As well as spending each Saturday in London at music school, Jacob is also studying for A-levels in English language, psychology and music.
Before pursuing his dream of going to music college after A-Levels, Jacob plans to have a gap year and perform more concerts and gigs with local bands.
The concert starts at 7.30pm and entry is free. There will be a retiring collection for the charity.
The Great Hall at Ipswich School is accessed via the Ivry Street entrance.
