A new Screwfix store is set to open in Ipswich next week – the third to open in the town – with the creation of 10 new jobs.

The trade retailer’s new branch, based at Cavendish Street, will open on August 23 and Screwfix is offering a 10% discount on all product ranges throughout the store’s launch period until Sunday, August 26.

Phil Simmons, store manager, said: “We’ve created 10 new jobs and employed people from around the Ipswich area.

“Our new team includes people with all different levels of experience, focused on providing superb customer service to meet the needs of our busy trade customers. Everyone here is really looking forward to the store opening.”

Tradespeople and serious DIYers are all invited to attend the opening and can demonstrate their professional skills in a free-to-enter competition.

The winner will receive a 40inch smart television.

The Cavendish Street store will be open Monday to Friday 7am-8pm, Saturday 7am-6pm, and Sunday 9am-4pm.
