A second person has been charged with the murder of Colchester man Martin Dines.
Darren Miller, 45, of no fixed abode, has been charged with murder and has been remanded to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court today.
Heidi Kennedy, 46, of Queen Elizabeth Way, Colchester, was yesterday also charged with murder and she has been remanded to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on Friday.
She was also charged in connection with an assault in Colchester on Sunday.
A murder investigation was launched after the discovery of a man’s body at St Mary’s car park on Balkerne Hill just before 9am on Monday.
The victim was identified by police on Tuesday as Martin Dines, 56, from Colchester, who was believed to have been a member of the town’s rough sleeping community.
A 32-year-old man remains in custody while a 47-year-old man, who was also arrested on suspicion of murder, has since been released under investigation.
