FIREFIGHTERS have been kept busy with a number of fires across the county.

Crews tackled two car fires in Brightwell Close, Felixstowe, at 00.17am, and a bin fire outside Morrisons in Grange Farm Avenue in the town around 45 minutes later.

They were also despatched to the A12, where they battled a ton of bailed straw near the junction of the B1070, at around 2.20am.

Last night, they were sent to a rubbish bin blaze in the Buttermarket at 8.06pm, then to burning undergrowth in Westwood Avenue a minute later.

They were also hot on the heels of a stubble field fire yesterday evening at the rear of Tesco in Low's Lane, Palgrave, an undergrowth blaze off Holton Road, Halesworth, and a rubbish fire in Haverhill.
